IMOS On-Prem - Trading P&L Snapshot Manager

To record Trading P&L Snapshots, use one of the following methods:

• Record Trading P&L Snapshots in your database. These snapshots can then be used in reports.
• Take scheduled snapshots, which require the use of the Messaging Service to run. For more information, see Create Scheduled Trading P&L Snapshots in the IMOS Messaging Service Manual.
• Export the snapshot data as an XML file for use in external systems using the Trading P&L Snapshot Manager. Using the Trading P&L Snapshot Manager will prevent you from also using Trading P&L Snapshots, so follow the steps below only if you are planning to export XML to an external system.

With the Trading P&L Snapshot Manager, you can add contracts to and update contracts in Trading Snapshots.

• To enable the Trading P&L Snapshot Manager, add TradeSnapshotExport to the notificationsIncludeList configuration flag.
• To use it, you must have the Trading P&L Snapshot Manager Module Right.
• To access it, in the Trading module center , under Quick Links, click Trading P&L Snapshot Manager.

Each line in the list represents one contract. Adding/Updating a contract creates a Trade Snapshot Notification .XML that contains information for each contract selected, as well as information on the snapshot currently selected. 

To find snapshots, select a Snapshot Reference Date and Snapshot Type.

Adding Contracts

• To add a contract to the snapshot, click its Add link in the Snapshot Action column.
• To add multiple contracts to the snapshot, select their check boxes in the first column and then click the Update Snapshot(s) link at the top of the list.

Updating Contracts

The Update action appears if the contract is already present inside the currently selected snapshot.

• To update the snapshot for a contract, click its Update link in the Snapshot Action column.
• To update the snapshots for multiple contracts, select their check boxes in the first column and then click the Update Snapshot(s) link at the top of the list.
