Veson Nautical has enhanced the existing Fuel Zone configuration and fuel consumption functionality to help our clients comply with the IMO 2020 bunker regulations. The new IMO 2020 functionality accommodates the use of scrubbers on vessels and accounts for the allowance of scrubbers in given ports and zones. By designating the Fuel Types for 3.5%, 0.5%, and 0.1% sulfur and the global areas in which they should be consumed, clients are able to accurately project bunker consumption on estimates and voyages.

Enable Port Fuel Availability
CFGEnablePortFuelAvailability | When enabled, a new Fuel Availability grid is added to the Port form in the Data Center where the Fuel Types and Grades that are available at the port can be captured. | Enable Scrubber Type
CFGEnableScrubberType | When enabled, a scrubber drop-down menu appears on the Port, Voyage Bunkers, Bunker Planning, and Vessel forms accessed through a Voyage Estimate. On the Port and Vessel forms, the drop-down menu reflects scrubber values allowed at the port and equipped in the vessel. On the Voyage Estimate and Voyage, it reflects the scrubber type used for bunker calculations. On the Vessel form, the “Use Scrubbers” check box is replaced with the new “Scrubber Type” drop-down menu. The Fuel Zones form has two tabs to support “Scrubber” and “Non-Scrubber” configurations. These new options facilitate bunker calculations to use the new IMO 2020 regulations. | Enable Vessel Scrubbers
CFGEnableVesselScrubbers | Adds a Scrubbers Active field to the Vessel form, in which you can record the date when scrubbers were installed. This field is purely informational, meaning the time value entered and its time zone are purely at the discretion of the client and do not play any role in whether or not scrubbers will be enabled when creating new Estimates or voyages.
