IMOS - Schedule - Scheduling

In Scheduling, the schedule is a vertical Gantt chart of estimated and actual voyages.

When you open Scheduling, today's date appears at the top of the schedule. Voyages appear as color-coded schedule cards, and each column shows the schedule for each vessel (named in the heading) and company combination. Vessel columns appear in the same order as in the Open Positions list.

Note: If you see duplicate vessel columns in the schedule, you can set configuration flag CFGConsecutiveVoyagesByCompany to N to show only one column per vessel.

In the schedule, you can do any of the following:

Workflows

You can do any of the following from the schedule:

Schedule Cards

Cards on the schedule represent Voyages and Estimates. To open a Voyage or Estimate in a new tab, click its card.

To open a Cargo associated with a Voyage or Estimate, click ... in the top right corner of the card and then click the Cargo ID.

Color Coding

Each card is color coded, as defined in the legend at the bottom of the schedule. Additionally:

  • A thin, light blue bar on the left side of the card indicates the cargo laycan.

    • If a vessel will arrive at its load port after the cargo's laycan window has closed, the bar appears red.

    • Confirmed laycans are indicated with an asterisk (*).

  • A section with  indicates waiting time.

  • Today's date appears as a blue schedule row.

  • Estimates that are processing appear white with a grey dashed border.

Card Text

Cards display the following text information, but you can change the cargo data by editing Cargo Template on the Programs panel:

  • Ports and their functions; the height of a port section indicates port call duration.

  • Cargo Name (or Cargo Grade with configuration flag CFGEnableMultiGrade)

  • CP Quantity or BL Quantity

  • Counterparty

  • Laycan From - Laycan To; confirmed laycans are indicated with an asterisk (*).

  • Estimate ID, Voyage No., or Cargo ID

  • Commence Date - Complete Date

If multiple cargoes are loaded/discharged, the cargo information will be shown in repeating sections. If multiple ports have the same ETA, ETD, and port function, they will be combined into one port section, not shown multiple times.

To see additional information, hover over a port or sailing section.

Adding Notes and Remarks

You can add notes and remarks to the schedule, an Estimate, a voyage, or a vessel.

Schedule Notes

Instead of adding an Estimate or Voyage, you can add a schedule note as a placeholder to indicate that a vessel will not be available during a certain date range. Schedule notes are saved per program.

To add a schedule note, in a vessel column, click the starting date and drag down to the end date.

  • To adjust the date range covered by the schedule note, drag the bottom of the card up or down.

  • To move the schedule note, drag it to an earlier or later date range or drag it to a different vessel column.

  • To delete the schedule note, drag it off of the schedule.

Estimate Remarks

To add remarks to an Estimate, right-click its bar and then click Estimate Remarks.

When you save remarks for an Estimate:

  • Its schedule card appears with an asterisk (*) in the upper right corner.

  • Estimate Remarks appear on the Estimate column and P&L panel.

Voyage Remarks

To add remarks to a voyage, right-click its bar and then click Voyage Remarks.

When you save remarks for a voyage:

  • Its schedule card appears with an asterisk (*) in the upper right corner.

  • Voyage Remarks appear on the Voyage Manager.

Vessel Notes

You can add vessel notes in the field below each vessel name.

Vessel notes are saved per program.

Adjusting the Schedule

To adjust the schedule, use the drop-down menus on the bottom right:
