This view allows brokers to estimate earnings basis for a position list they ran. The load port/area and speed are brought over from the Position List view.

Using the TCE Calculator

Enter the following information into the TCE calculator.

Cargo: Same as position list view

Laycan:  Enter dates of your choice.  Early ships will have wait days, and ships that are late for the laycan will display as red in Open Port ETA.

Load Port: The load port is brought over from the position list search.  You can use an area instead of a port.

Load cost:  You can add the load cost in this field. You can double-click or use the Tab key in the blank box to see port costs for different size vessels.

Discharge:  Enter the name of the discharge port. You can also use an area instead of a port.

Disch cost:  You can add the discharge cost here. You can double-click or use the Tab key in the blank box to see port costs for different size vessels.

Reposition:  Add a port or location to calculate earnings more accurately.

Other costs:  Enter other relevant costs to the voyage.

Commissions:  The system treats this as a percentage.

Freight:  You can enter the current WS Rate if it is a WS flat rate.  If the voyage is based on a lumpsum, enter it into the ‘Rate’ field.

Quantity:  Enter when calculating for WS voyages.

Laden Routing: Choose from the following routing options: Suez Canal, Good Hope, and Anti-Piracy.

Bunkers: You can enter bunkers or, like Load and Discharge costs, use the Tab key in the blank field to display a pop-up window with the latest costs.

Speed: Ballast speed is brought over from the position list view.  You can change the laden speed in this view. Use the Speed dropdown list at the top of the page to change both laden and ballast.

If you the estimate you run is part of a saved search, values from the estimate will appear again. The only items that will change are Laycan, WS (or Lumpsum rate), and bunker prices. Port costs and WS flat rates will remain the same.

Emissions:  When you hover over the Emissions text, you can view a description of the emission calculation in a pop-up window.
