If an Onboard User is not using a legitimate email as the account email address, they will be unable to reset their password themselves using the Forgot Password? link in veslink.com. In such circumstances, a VIP admin will need to reset the password on their behalf.
This email address can be implemented for support reasons, such as standardizing the account naming convention for all vessels within the operating fleet.
To reset the password:
Within Data Center, select Security, then identify the user account and reset their password ensuring that the password conforms to VIP’s Password Policy.
Within Data Center, select Replication, then select either Bulk Import or Incremental Import.
Note: If the Onboard User account exists in multiple environments, then the password will need to be reset and replication will need to be run in all environments.
