To copy an existing vessel, open it and then click
. All vessel data is copied to a new Vessel form, but voyage data is not copied. On its Properties panel, the Estimate Only Vessel and Inactive Vessel check boxes are cleared. Complete the Vessel Code and Vessel Name fields.

Speed Laden
Speed Ballast
Vessel Name
Vessel Type

Changing a Vessel Name
If a vessel has a name change, the vessel details can be updated to reflect the new name. Any past records will still show the old vessel name. For audit purposes, it is recommended to create a new vessel record and set the old vessel to inactive.
