Shipfix extracts and aggregates data from fresh tonnage circulars across the market and 3rd party databases

Shipfix extracts and aggregates advertised vessel descriptions across the Shipfix Community. In doing so, we reconcile the pieces of the puzzle to present vessel descriptions with an unprecedented level of accuracy and granularity compared to other tonnage database providers. Importantly , the information is most likely the latest advertised information in the market

This is how we manage to build vessel speed/consumption curves and technical specs such as scrubber retrofitting, Australian hold ladders, grain/cement holes, crane outreach, grab details, hold ventilation, ITF compliance, Rightship rating/approval, A60 bulkhead, etc.

Shipfix also uses established and globally recognised 3rd party databases to check and reconcile some of the information extracted.

How does Shipfix prioritise, update, and verify vessel particulars?

Shipfix prioritises the most recent and credible sources of circulated vessel particulars.  Advertised descriptions supersede 3rd party databases and are then verified across multiple market contributors, ensuring that no single market participant can dilute the validity of our data.

Shipfix continuously updates its proprietary vessel database. This ensures that Shipfix has the most up-to-date directory in the market.

Occasional errors can be reported to Shipfix and we typically correct those the same day.
