New Chinese and Taiwanese ECA Zone regulations take effect on January 1, 2019:

• The new regulation will require vessels to burn marine fuels with a maximum of 0.5% sulphur content within these ECA zones.

• ECA - China will now cover the earlier ECA - YANGTZE RIVER DELTA 1OCT  and ECA - YANGTZE RIVER DELTA zones.

To set up these zones in the Veson IMOS Platform:

1. In the Data Center, open the Fuel Zones form:

   Open

   

   Set up the consumption as you see fit: Select a consumption rate to use, which can either be the HFO or the LSF/LSM consumption data from the Vessel form Consumption tab.

2. Create an Estimate that includes ports from each zone:

   Open

   

   Note: ECA Routing must be set to Enabled:

   Open

   

3. Confirm the bunker calculations on the Bunker Planning form:

   1. HFO:  

      Open

      

   2. ULSFO:

      Open
