XJOU: Missing Business Rule Error in Monthly Accruals

The “XJOU: Missing Business Rule” error in Monthly Accruals is typically caused by missing codes in related Ad hoc journals, which result in missing business rules in the Voyage PnL → Accounts view. The reason for this error is that the Code is missing from the Operations view of the journal entry, preventing proper mapping in the PnL.

To resolve this:

  1. Reverse the incorrect Ad hoc journals.

  2. Recreate and repost the correct Ad hoc journals, ensuring all required codes are included.

  3. Verify that there are no missing business rules in the Voyage PnL → Accounts view.

  4. Run the Monthly Accruals again.

Once the codes are properly configured, the error will be resolved and accruals will process as expected.
