When Backup Fuel is set up on the Fuel/Lube Types form, the Veslink IMOS Platform will automatically know to consume the backup fuel at the rate of consumption of the primary fuel. Below are two scenarios for the expected consumption behavior.

When there is insufficient primary and backup fuel to complete a voyage, the Platform will display the voyage itinerary in red font and will default all required consumption to the primary fuel even if the expectation is for the backup fuel to be consumed for the rest of the voyage leg.
