When Backup Fuel is set up on the Fuel/Lube Types form, the Veslink Veson IMOS Platform (VIP) will automatically know to consume the backup fuel at the rate of consumption of the primary fuel. Below are two scenarios for the expected consumption behavior.

When there is insufficient primary fuel onboard the vessel to complete a voyage, the Platform VIP will automatically switch to consuming the backup fuel (assuming that there is sufficient backup fuel to complete the entire voyage).
